 ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS - 11TH OCTOBER 2024 Organized as part of the 'Road Safety week' by the Directorate of Transport, Government of Goa, the session was conducted by Sub- Inspectors of Police Bashir Mulla and Pandurang Sangelkar. They discussed the statistics of various types of road accidents in Goa and explained the reasons that lead to these accidents. They also urged the audience to come to the help of road accident victims. |  DECLAMATION COMPETITION - 19TH OCTOBER 2024 The students of Class 8 displayed their oratory talent by declaiming speeches of great orators, writers and motivators. It was a treat to hear the participants delivering their speeches, dressed as the original speaker. The Red House members Ms. Jasiel D’Souza & Mstr. Aydan Noronha emerged winners. Ms. Bhakti Pednekar secured the title of Best Speaker. The students were trained by their English teachers Mrs. Eufemia Fernandes & Mrs. Cecelia Tavares. |  CLEANLINESS DRIVE - 2ND OCTOBER 2024 Our school successfully conducted a campus cleanliness drive as part of the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' initiative on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The drive aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental consciousness among students. It involved students from all grades, along with teaching and non-teaching staff. The drive fostered teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility among the students. |

 VOICE IT OUT - 1ST OCTOBER 2024 To imbibe a true spirit of learning in students and to enhance their communication skills, an inter-house Public Speaking competition was held at school. We believe that 'ORACY' should be at the heart of every classroom. The participants delivered their speeches with great aplomb and to the best of their ability. The Yellow House members Ms. Aasmi Kothwale & Ms. Manasvi Vernekar emerged as the winner. Ms. Aasmi Kothwale also secured the title of Best Speaker. |  Congratulations to Teacher Sonali Chodankar of Holy Cross High School, Siolim on being awarded the prestigious 'Narsingh Rao Damodar Naik Literature Award' by Konkani Bhasha Mandal for her remarkable book Sahitya Yatra! Her contribution to Konkani literature is truly inspiring. Wishing her many more accolades in the future! |  SPELLING BEE COMPETITION An inter-house Spelling Bee competition was held for the students of Class 7. The Yellow House members Miss Riddhima Pednekar, Master Vinit Sharma, Miss Leezen Fernandes & Miss Kim Agarwadekar emerged winners. The competition showcased the talent and hard work of the students duly trained by their English teacher Mrs. Cecelia Tavares. |
 |  SSC RETREAT 2024 The SSC students attended a 1-day retreat at Old Goa on 26th August 2024. The students joined the retreat in the morning and the organizers immediately engaged everybody in a series of energizing, exciting communication and team building exercises. The students were accompanied by the Headmistress Sr. Julie Rodrigues and their Class teacher Dylan Fernandes. |  SCIENCE PROJECT COMPETITION - 24TH AUGUST 2024 The Green Heritage Eco Club of S.F.X. High School, Siolim organized the 32nd Annual Festival of Plants and Flowers with the theme "Plant a Tree, Keep Goa Green." In the Science Project Competition, Ms. Pearl Blossom Fernandes and Ms. Aasmi Kothwale, students of Holy Cross High School, Siolim secured second place for their project on the topic "Solanaceae Family", under the guidance of their Science teacher Mrs. Jessie De Souza. |
 'TELL ME A STORY’ A house-wise Story Telling competition was held for the students of Class 6. Storytelling promotes students' listening skills, imagination and creativity, emotional development, literacy development, curiosity and verbal proficiency. The Green House members Ms. Janelle Madeira & Mstr. Aqdas Mohammed emerged as the winner. Ms. Janelle Madeira secured the title of Best Narrator. |  INDEPENDENCE DAY - 15TH AUGUST 2024 Celebrating India's 78th independence with zeal and unwavering patriotism, our students were attired in tri-colour outfits, thereby enhancing the true spirit of free India. Nonstop patriotic songs echoed in the premises. The national festival was a resounding success as it instilled the feeling of pride in Mother India. |  INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - 14TH AUGUST 2024 Holy Cross Primary school celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. |

 Holy Cross High School, Siolim defeated Holy Family School, Porvorim (2-1), paving their way into the Semi-Finals of the Subroto Tournament U17 (Boys) Junior Category. |  154th Death Anniversary of Mother Claudine Echernier |  LA FÊTE NATIONALE FRANÇAISE ON 14TH JULY 2023 Holy Cross High School Siolim celebrated 'La Fête Nationale Française', on 14th July 2023. The French students of Std 8, 9 & 10 commenced the day with prayer during the French assembly, commemorating the significance of 'Le Quatorze Juillet', in France. The students highlighted the life of the French Royals through an enactment on stage, which was illustrated in French. |
 KONKANI - HINDI POETRY READING COMPETITION - STD V १५ जुलय २०२३ - शिवोलेच्या होली क्रॉस शाळेंत कोंकणी - हिंदी कविता वाचन सर्त जाली. ही सर्त शाळेतल्या पांचवें यत्तेतल्यां भुरग्यांखातीर आशिल्ली. हे सर्तीक परिक्षक म्हूण शाळेच्यो आदल्यो शिक्षिका स ौ. स्मिता नागवेंकार आनी शिक्षिका तृप्ती साळगांवकर हाजीर आशिल्ल्यो. नव्व्या वेर्लेकर आनी शोर्यान कोरगांवकर हांणीं परिक्षकांची वळख करुन दिली. |  Van Mahotsav celebration on 11th July 2023 |  SAO JOAO CELEBRATION On 24th June 2023, the students from Std I - IV celebrated the feast of St. John the Baptist (Sao Joao). It was a 'BAGLESS DAY' with loads of activities that included the Kopel making competition, Display of nutritious foods, Singing competition and Hands on learning. |

Click the image for more details. |  INTER SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION On 30th September 2022, the PTA of St. Francis Xavier's School - Siolim organized an Inter-School Dance Competition for the Pre-Primary and Primary sections. Holy Cross Pre-Primary bagged the 3rd place for Western Dance, while the students of Primary won the 3rd place for Indian Folk Dance. |
 CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME FOR THE SSC STUDENTS On 1st October 2022, Luminaries (Holy Cross High School, Siolim Ex-Students' Association) organized a Career Guidance Program for their Class 10 students. |  FOOTBALL UNDER 17 CHAMPIONS Holy Cross High School - Siolim emerged Champions of under 17 Boys Tournament. They defeated St. Elizabeth High School - Pomburpa 4-2. |  FOOTBALL UNDER 17 CHAMPIONS Holy Cross High School - Siolim emerged Champions of under 17 Boys Tournament. They defeated Government High School - Namoshi Guirim 4-1. |
 FOOTBALL UNDER 14 CHAMPIONS Holy Cross High School - Siolim emerged Champions of under 14 Boys Tournament. They defeated St. Theresa High School - Candolim 3-2. |  INTER-SCHOOL ADVERTISEMENT COMPETITION IN KONKANI - JULY 2022 Our students Aasmi Kothwale and Neeraj Talkatkar, won 3rd and 4th places respectively, in the Inter-School Advertisement Competition in Konkani, organized by Thomas Stephens Konkni Kendr for the students of Std VII. |  TAUGHT TO TEACH The students of Holy Cross High School - Siolim, along with their Teacher Jessie Dsouza, featured in the 16th July 2022 edition of 'The oHeraldo', for going an extra mile and filling the potholes near the School. |
 ENGLISH STORY NARRATION COMPETITION This Inter-House Competition was conducted for the students of Std VI on 16th July 2022. The Red House were declared winners and Master Mayfern Mascarenhas was 'The Best Speaker' among the 8 participants. |  FRENCH DAY On the 14th July 2022, the Students of Std IX, taking French as a subject, celebrated the French Day meaningfully. They explained the importance of the day, the Anthem, and the significance of the French Flag. |  VAN MAHOTSAV WEEK - JULY 2022 In line with the observation of the 73rd Van Mahotsav 2022, the Forest Department organized tree plantation in the School premises. |
 FOUNDATION OF NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL On 21st August 2021 the School celebrated two occasions in the School; 1. The Foundation day of our Congregation, and 2. The blessing of the Foundation Stone of the new Primary School Building |  CAREER GUIDANCE TO SSC STUDENTS 2021 BATCH On 17th March 2021 Sr. Veronica Fernandes, and Ex-students Olympio Almeida and Danah Dsouza addressed the SSC Students. |  SCHOOL FETE 2019 A 3-Day Fete was presented by Holy Cross High School - Siolim from 7th to 9th December 2019, in aid of Renovation of the Primary school building which will have a First floor, and will also house a Resource room. |
 WINNERS OF ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION On 26th January 2019, Tr. Eufemia Fernandes and Tr. Cecilia Tavares, were felicitated amidst the grand Republic Day celebrations, on winning the 1st and 2nd prizes respectively, for writing an essay on the Ecosystem in school education, at a complex School level competition. |  HOLY CROSS SIOLIM EX-STUDENTS' REUNION 2008 Headmistress Sr. Alzira Furtado welcomed everyone. Lighting of the lamp was done by the Ex-Headmistresses Sr. Alzira Fernandes, Sr. Flora and Sr. Jennifer. Ex-Teachers present were Miss Isabel, Miss Vilma, Sir Harish, Miss Kusum, alongwith present teachers Cecilia, Lucilia, Eufemia and Kunda. |
